  • Branch AGM 2026 Wednesday 11 March 2026 19:00 Matches

    The branch AGM will be held on Wednesday 11th March at 7pm for at 7:15pm start at Matches, Elwick Place, Ashford, in The VIP Room. Agenda and draft minutes of the of 2025’s AGM will be issued shortly, along the draft minutes of the January 2026 meeting.

    We will also be agreeing our 2027 GBG selection, along with our POTY winner

    The AGM will also be an opportunity to discuss how the branch moves forward and to get more involvement from the membership, as currently the number of active members is getting smaller each year.

    Admission

    For non card carrying CAMRA members, please purchase of a KESR platform ticket if you wish to attend the beer festival only.


    Entrance to the beer festival is FREE to card carrying CAMRA members as well as a discount on pre-booked train tickets booked before 31/05/2025, discount code CAMRA25.
    To pre-book your train ticket visit the Kent & East Sussex Railway website.

    Please note that you will need to show your CAMRA membership card at the booking office on the day to show you qualify for the 10% discount on travel.

    Real ales and cider available on Saturday train departures from 10.20 am.
    NEW: later trains on Saturday into the early evening – check KESR website for train times www.kesr.org.uk.

    • A range of real ales, ciders and Perry.
    • Food available on Friday evening and Saturday all day into the evening.
    • Live music on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and into the evening.
    • Families welcome.

    • Music with Kutschy Rye from 7:30pm.
    • No trains operating - purchase a KESR platform ticket available at the gate.

    Saturday 6th June 10am to 10.30pm - Band lineup to follow soon.

    AFRM CAMRA Branch are delighted to announce that Romney Marsh Brewery will be sponsoring the glasses for this year’s KESR CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival.

    Service buses operate to Tenterden from: Ashford (2 or 2A), Maidstone (12), Tunbridge Wells (297), Hastings (29), Rye (312). Railway Stations: either Headcorn (connecting bus 12) or Ashford International (connecting bus 2 or 2A), Hastings (connecting bus 329).

    Special Travel Perks

    A free festival bus service will be running again this year on Saturday evening and bus will connect with Headcorn and Ashford and Rye train stations to help get you back home and also serve outlying villages, such as Biddenden, Woodchurch, Shadoxhurst, High Halden, Bethersden, Rye, Rolvenden.     Helping at the Festival

    Our beer festival is organised and run by unpaid volunteers and we are always looking for more volunteers, old and new to join us. So if you would like to help out, whether for a few hours during the setup or one evening or throughout the beer festival, you will be made most welcome. Don't worry, you do not need any experience, the only condition for being a volunteer is that you are a CAMRA member.
