Said to be the oldest pub in town it has a bow-windowed Queen Anne front hiding a 15th century cosy interior with an area set aside for eating good food to accompany the good beer usually from the Marston's usually a Hobgoblin and Ringwood beer. plus, a selection of ciders. There is a big painting on the wall of the British Lion and an outside area. The pub is situated in a secluded quiet area of Folkestone near the church known as the Bayle.
